Brazilian barbecue with decent prices. Love the authenticity and quick service. The flavor was delicious but too salty for my taste. I got the lamb, sirloin cap, and garlic beef. The garlic beef is pretty fatty so next time I'd personally get more lamb or sirloin cap. There was plenty of seating when I went around 11 on a Saturday. Family friendly and casual vibes.

Expect to stand in a line, grab a plate, and basically build your own plate. They will then weight your plate to determine the cost. Be aware that some meat may be salty unfortunately. My husband and I ended up pairing salty meat with other food on the plate to even out the saltiness. From the couple times we visited, the saltiness seems to be random. Some days their meat is salty while other days are well seasoned. Other than that saltiness factor, the food overall is good. Worth a visit.

Picanha... You don't know how happy I am to see you again... Stopped by Pampas for a quick lunch while visiting Farmers Market. The line was long however it was totally worth the wait. The restaurant has buffet style setting where you go through the line and get what you want from the trays (except the meats) and pay at the end by weight (prices are different with or without meat). They have a great selection of salad and hot dishes, nevertheless the main stars are the meats: Off course my favorite is Picanha (similar to sirloin cap in US). The brazed outer layer splashed with melted rock salt and blended with the fatty part of the meat are a combination made in heaven. Just a side note: do not order too well done or the meat can be on the tougher side. Oh yeah, also get the cheese balls (pao de queijo), they are to die for (make sure to eat them while they are hot or warm). Great meal and reasonable price for what you get.

I saw so much hype of this Pampas Grill at the LA Farmers Market and I had to give it a try. I walked by and saw the massive line and it was overwhelming to see, but I decided to go for it regardless. There's definitely a reason for the line. I waited about 30-35 minutes which is a really long wait. It's kind of like cafeteria style where in the inside you get your sides on a plate or a to-go box and go around until you get to the meat section where the staff asks what kind of meat you want and they cut it in front of you. They are also all super friendly and helpful while serving you with plenty of patience. I ordered Garlic Chicken, Sirloin Cap, and Lamb Leg. I hoped the meat would be worth the super long wait, but wow. Each cut of meat was outstanding. Each piece just melts in your mouth especially the sirloin cap and the lamb leg. The garlic chicken was surprisingly more moist than it looks too. It was packed with flavor and the garlic in the name really deserves to be there. So juicy and tender. My only regret is not asking for more cuts of meat. I feel like some people pile their plates to the point of looking like a food mountain just so they make it worth waiting that long. I certainly get it. I can't lie, I usually don't like waiting 30+ minutes in line for food, but this is an exception. It's definitely worth the wait.

Pampas Grill is my favorite restaurant at the Farmers Market at the Grove! I've been eating here for years now, and most of the time there is a line with at least a 15 minute wait. Starts with a salad bar and carb options. Lastly you pick whichever meats you want. You are charged by weight, and my plate usually comes out to $20-$30. Staff are friendly and you can sit anywhere in the farmers market. Really enjoy the quality of food here, highly recommend!

There are multiple choices for side dishes. I got the garlic rice, garlic bread, cheese bread, smashed potato, collard greens, mixed greens and Caesar salads. For the meats: sausage, tri tip, and garlic beef. Total: $22 + tips Everything was delicious! No flavor was too overwhelming, and pair so well with the sauces available. I prefer the green sauce, the red was a little on the spicier side. Tips: - use the plastic gloves they provided. You will see it right before you can grab the plates and tray. - if there is no seats, walk up the stairs nearby. It's to the right of the shop if you're looking at it.

A lot of reviews already so here are some simple tips: 1. Cold food and hot food bar - pick your own first and try to get only necessary items that you wouldn't normally get elsewhere since you pay by the pound. Recommended: cheese bun, yucca fries, plantain, garlic rice + beans 2. Meat - if 1 single patty burger set with fries is typically enough for you, then order 0.5 lbs of meat. If you usually eat more than that, order 0.75 lbs of meat. Recommended: top sirloin

What I had: Self-Served Combo Platter $15.85/Lb Brazilian BBQ meats: Tri-Tip x 2pcs hot dish: beef stew, pasta salads: some broccoli, tomatoes and pineapples (around US$21 for this) Taste: 4/5 The tri-tip I had was so thick, well-seasoned, tender and juicy without being too greasy! It was a perfect cut of meat. The side dishes were okay. If I were to have this again, I would've taken the mash instead of the pasta, kept the pineapples, skipped the stew and asked for more BBQ meats. Vibe: 5/5 I gravitated to the store because of the long queue, the giant blazing grills and the smokey BBQ smell. It stood out in the market and was irresistible. Service: 4/5 Although the queue was long, the workers were pretty efficient so the wait wasn't unbearable. It was crowded inside the shop but it wasn't chaotic. The whole process from taking the side dishes at the buffet bar to getting the BBQ meat to paying was pretty smooth.
